‘Fast Five’ is the best ‘Fast’ movie because of those stunts

What is your favorite Fast and Furious Movie?

I love the Fast Franchise. I think the movies are so fun and the way they have developed over the years is breathtaking. One of the things that I think they left behind is real, grounded stunts. I hope the ninth part has learned some lessons from the fifth film and can make it part of a visceral reality.

These films are pushed to the limit in so many different ways with lots of creative set-pieces, but I’m nostalgic for the days they looked like they were real. And for the days we saw stunt performers taking those stories to the next level. With every new episode they get faster and angrier, but we also get a lot more CGI.

Still, Fast five, the movie that changed the entire series, had the best set piece in any of the films, and it was made practical!

Check out this video from Nerdy and let’s talk afterwards.

Fast five Is the best in the series because most of the stunts are real!

As I said at the beginning, I’m a huge fan of these films. There aren’t any that I don’t like. But as they got bigger and bigger, they changed a little. I get nostalgic for the times when the storylines didn’t require as much computer graphics.

Maybe that’s because you are part of the Jackie Chan Generation where his stunts and fights blew me away and the camera was turned wide to show the complicated ballet, but the Fast Movies did the same with cars. While I think the graphics look great and don’t take us out of the story at all, I wish we’d put some emphasis on really amazing driving skills and stunts.

The Fast Movies are successful because of the characters and their fun missions, but I always found the car racing scenes that keep these international superstars down. No matter what, they like to drive. I think when we hit the final stages of these businesses I would love to see them use their huge budget to do more things practically. Not only would it keep more people busy, but it would also keep the essence of the workers that makes these films so different and so fun.
