Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil has taken advantage of the success of his recent films Joji and Irul. The 38-year-old received a positive response from his fans across the country for his performances in both films. In a recent interview, he opened up to playing the villain opposite Kamal Haasan in Vikram. Read on for the scoop below.

Since the start of the global pandemic, digital films have been doing quite well for the stars. And Fahadh has had three consecutive digital releases in the midst of the pandemic.

In a conversation with SpotboyE, Fahadh Faasil spoke about the digital release of CU Soon and said, “And there was CU Soon which was released digitally towards the start of the lockdown. It’s just a coincidence that so many films have come and gone. “

Speaking of Irul and his character in the film, the actor said, “It didn’t work out as we expected. So many things have gone wrong. I admit that it did not go as we expected. But part of the target audience always liked it. “

When it comes to differentiating between digital and theatrical platforms, Fahadh believes that they are not mutually inclusive and said, “Joji and Irul were created especially for the OTT platform. They wouldn’t have worked so well in movie theaters. My next release, Maalik, which deals with state border politics, is made specifically for theaters. I think the OTT platform and the theater have separate identities, separate lives.

Fahadh Faasil is also planning a larger version of CU Soon for the big screen and said, “It will be done on a different scale, a much larger canvas and it will be shot at outdoor locations. The digital version of CU Soon was shot entirely indoors. “

When asked if he was working with the superstar for his next film, the Joji actor replied, “Yes, that’s right, I’m working with him (Kamal Haasan) for the first time in a film titled Vikram. I was asked not to talk about my role or the movie. But no, I’m not playing the bad guy.

Sincerely, Fahadh Faasil. We look forward to seeing you on the big screen soon!
