Just days after it was said that the JJ Abrams and the team decided to put a black Superman on the timeline, Michael B. Jordan’s name came into the limelight. It’s now called the studio’s preferred option. According to the actor, who spoke in an interview with We Got This Covered, he said he didn’t know what was going on with the project. Interestingly enough, the actor dodged the question and talked about representation.
Michael B. Jordan said: “I don’t know what’s really going on [Black Superman] in particular. But everyone’s desire and desire to see black actors and heroic roles is really important. Representation is important… There are so many opportunities with different IPs, different properties, different characters that never saw the light of day. And there are some who should be where they are. So let’s see how things move.
Meanwhile, Superman Reboot could bring Calvin Ellis from the comics as new Supes. He is a native of Earth-23 and also President of the United States, inspired by former President Barack Obama.
