Silent Witness star Emilia Fox to host True Crime podcast
Longtime BBC crime drama star Emilia Fox Silent witness, is to host a real crime podcast with the great criminologist, Professor David Wilson. When it bleeds there is a risk will see the duo tackle topical crime stories that dominate the headlines and dive deep into true crime-centric entertainment. It will feature guests including former police officers, crime reporters and former offenders, and will also discuss real crime in culture from books, series and movies. The series will launch on March 12 via Global and is produced by Alaska TV, the company behind History’s Spy Wars with Damian Lewis and British talent agency Money Group Entertainment. Chris Baughen, editor-in-chief of Global Player, said it would “delve into a subject that captivates and intrigues millions of us,” while Alaska TV co-founder and creative director Ian Lamarra said the show marked the first in a list of “great talent” podcasts.

Wondery launches Adventure Survival podcast
Wondery, the company behind successful podcasts, including Dirty John and Dr. Death, launches a new program on the theme of survival. The company, recently acquired by Amazon, is launching Against all odds, on February 23, where host adventurers Mike Corey and Cassie De Pecol share survival stories, from the daring rescue of a football team trapped in an underwater cave in Thailand to a woman held hostage by Somali pirates. Corey is a marine biologist and BBC travel show host, who wandered the depths of the Amazon rainforest, hurtled down the snow-capped mountains of Uzbekistan, and dived in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. De Pecol broke two Guinness World Records when she became the first woman to travel to any country in the world. Prior to that, she was a candidate for Discovery Channel’s Naked and scared. Color Farm Media Teams with Charlamagne Tha God On Reparations Podcast
Color Farm Media, the company behind John Lewis: Good problem, has partnered with Charlamagne Tha God and iHeartMedia’s The Black Effect Podcast Network to launch a new narrative podcast. Repairs: The Big Payback, which will launch on February 18, is co-hosted by The Cosby Show star and Color Farm co-founder Erika Alexander and filmmaker Whitney Dow. They will explore the argument for and against the controversial topic of reparations for black Americans. Guests on the podcast will include Reverend William Barber, Tom Steyer, Robin Street Simmons, Gwen Carr and Saru Jayaraman. Alexander said: “We are sitting on the precipice of an opportunity to heal the American division by leaning towards a better understanding of the restorative powers of reparations.” Charlamagne Tha God added: “Erika Alexander is brilliant. Whenever I can help him bring one of his visions to life, it is obvious to me. There are so many conversations around reparations and the case for black Americans to have reparations, and I hope this project adds to those conversations and makes people realize why reparations are not just a demand, but a necessary step for this country to take order. so that she atones for the sin of slavery and finally comes to a real place of healing. Rooster Teeth Launches Millennium Podcast
Warner Bros. Rooster Teeth is launching a podcast series that includes a theme park-themed series and comedy by Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart. The lineup includes a plethora of millennial and GenZ focused shows. While Rooster Teeth has been streaming vodcasts since 2005, it switched to audio-only podcasts last year. Shows include Annual pass, which releases April 22 and sees Achievement Hunter’s Jack Pattillo and Geoff Ramsey dive into the world of theme parks, the semi-fictional show No Dumb Answers, which releases March 3, How is it going? starring Grace Helbig and Mamrie Hart, and a superhero fitness show launched in March.
