The rapper / DMX actor will be remembered during an April 24 memorial service at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, his manager said today.
DMX died on April 9 of a heart attack following a drug overdose. He lingered for over a week in a vegetative state before finally passing.
Details on how many people can attend the ceremony and ticketing are still being determined, according to manager Steve Rifkind. One day after the public event, family and friends of DMX will attend a private funeral service at a church in the New York City area.
The capacity of the arena, which is home to the Brooklyn Nets of the NBA and the New York Liberty of the WNBA, will be limited by the pandemic restrictions.
