Discovery + Greenlights True Crime Anthology Series ‘Confessions Of A Crime Queen’ by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Discovery + gave a direct command to the series for Confessions of a crime queen, a veritable detective anthology series by Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his banner G-Unit Film & Television, Rich Bye and his Goodbye Pictures and Lionsgate Television.

Confessions of a crime queen is described as a one-of-a-kind anthology series that brings compelling headline-grabbing stories to life by combining documentary and script genres. Each season will focus on the true story of a larger-than-life woman who created and ruled a multi-million dollar criminal empire before a dramatic fall to power. The subject will be played by a leading actress who will also interview the real crime lord at the center of the story. Casting is underway for the first season, which is slated to debut next year.

Jackson’s G-Unit currently produces Power Book II: Ghost, the first of three new episodes of Starz ‘ Power Universe. G-Unit also produces Starz’s Black family mafia, a Lionsgate production, For life at ABC and comedy Family affair, which landed at ABC after a multi-network bidding war in November. The G-Unit slate also includes The 50th law at Netflix, A Moment In Time: Massacre, Unt.
