Demi Lovato’s upcoming album features collaborations with Saweetie and Noah Cyrus. The 28-year-old singer recently told the New York Times that Dancing With the Devil… The Art of Starting Over features a song with Ariana Grande. And now Demi has told PAPER magazine that the record also includes duets with Saweetie – on My GFs are My BFs – and Noah.
Ariana provided backing vocals on Met Him Last Night, while Demi’s Sam Fischer duo What Other People Say will also be on the album.
Over the past two days, Demi has shared brief instrumentals preview snippets of the songs on her social media pages.
We already know there is a piece called Melon Cake, which is all about taking back control and is named after the fat-free watermelon and cream she would receive instead of a birthday cake.
And California Sober, which is described as “half-tempo strummy”, reflects where she is in her sobriety.
Demi Lovato admitted in a recent interview, “I haven’t been literally sober since the summer of 2019. I realized that if I don’t give myself some leeway, I’m going to be tough (expletive). And it will be my death. “
The 2017 sequel to “ Tell Me You Love Me ” – which releases April 2 (21) – is set to serve as a companion to its upcoming Michael D. Ratner-led documentary series Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil, which explores the aspects that led to the singer’s almost fatal overdose in 2018, and her “awakenings in the wake”.
