Bombay Saga came by himself on Sunday bringing 3.52 crore. It’s one more jump 40% for the film compared to the Saturday collections 2.40 crores. There was a kind of scare when the numbers for Day 2 dropped from Friday (2.82 crores) and while that wasn’t exactly surprising given the restrictions in place right now, for those who support the film, it was not a happy show. Therefore, we wondered how Sunday was going to be.
However, the film experienced a turnaround on day three and that is a positive sign as the situation had not improved across the country when it comes to theatrical presentation. It was the masses that set the pace for its actor John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi and, as a result, the unique screens find better traction.
While the global collections are now at 8.74 croreNow we have to see how Monday is going for Sanjay Gupta’s film Mumbai Saga when Saturday’s drop was daunting, but the Sunday trend indicates a good hold.
The conventional way of filming on weekends and the weekdays before the pandemic isn’t quite the barometer for movies coming out now, especially with things changing day by day. All we hope is that the collections settle in from this moment and allow Mumbai Saga to run smoothly.
Note: all collections according to production and distribution sources
