Claudia Shin, 42, Joins Hiro Murai’s Super Frog as Vice President, Film and Television – Deadline

EXCLUSIVE: Super Frog, the production company created by Atlanta Director and executive producer Hiro Murai, and his production partner Nate Matteson, have hired 42’s Claudia Shin.

Shin joins the company as vice president of film and television and has been tasked with leading its roster of projects on small and large screens.

She was previously the Director of Development at Management and Production Company 42, where she oversaw the company’s first television deal with MGM. She has also developed film projects, notably Luck, and set up television projects at HBO Max, MGM and ABC Signature during her time at 42. Before age 42, she worked at Paramount Television and began her career at United Talent Agency in the film literary department.

Super Frog was founded by the duo in 2019 and works on feature films, scripted TV shows, and unscripted TV shows. It produces the limited series directed by Murai Eleven station for HBO Max with showrunner Patrick Somerville, as well as a feature film Where i end at Netflix. Murai and Matteson are also executive producers The Choe show, with artist David Choe, for FX, and half-hour pilot Bear with Ramy executive producer / director Christopher Storer.

The company has entered into a first-look deal with the Disney-owned premium cable network, which it concluded last year and has a number of projects in development with Lakeith Stanfield, FKA Twigs, Blindspotting Carlos Lopez Estrada and Calmatic, Grammy winner.

Murai exec produces FX Atlanta and directed seven episodes of the show’s second season. Atlanta has been renewed for a third and fourth season. Murai previously won a Grammy Award for Best Music Video for his collaboration with Childish Gambino on This is america, and he also directed episodes of HBO Barry and recently the Amazon musical film Guava Island, with Rihanna and Donald Glover.

Super Frog is replaced by UTA, Grandview and Jackoway, Austen, Tyerman.
