“Ready for my Monday morning zoom call!” #mondaystateofmind ”, she wrote in the caption.
Speaking of her work, Chitrangda, who was last seen in “Baazaar”, will next be seen in “Bob Biswas”.
“Bob Biswas” is a spin-off of “Kahaani”, and based on the fictional character of that name who became popular in Vidya Balan’s 2012 hit, “Kahaani”.

Seventeen years ago she made all the critics take note of her debut performance in Sudhir Mishra’s “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi”. She laughs that she could never get better. “Now I think I shouldn’t even try. There was this magic about it – the story, the director, the time. Sometimes it all comes together for you. I feel touched and lucky to have it as my first movie and keep telling Sudhir to make another one. Producer Pritish Nandy says he wants to do a sequel. Well, I’m just waiting to hear from him, ”actor Chitrangada Singh said.
While the lockdown may have frozen filming schedules, the period gave him enough space to write a movie. “I wrote the script and the dialogues too. When you’re on your own and know you have to rely on yourself to get it all done – and it turns out well, it can be a great feeling. I’m glad I had the opportunity to get back to writing.
Singh, who produced the movie “Soorma” and wrote the vision and premise with which she presented it, says the return to writing always makes her happy. “I produced the first time with ‘Soorma’. It was a pleasure to see the idea take shape in a film.
Working on other films as a producer, she admits it’s a lot harder than acting. “You have to be involved in several departments at the same time, and then there’s firefighting. As an actor, you have it all planned: get on set, work, and come home. As a producer, you should also be involved in the post-production aspect.
Chitrangda Singh, who co-hosted the recent (online) Maruti Suzuki Arena Devils Circuit, said that although she has competed in several live events, this is her first virtual obstacle course. “Fitness is very important to me and obstacle course is something that I have seen up close as a challenging and exciting running format. It was wonderful to be a part of the event.
For someone who has been compared to Smita Patil for her striking resemblance to the late actor, Chitrangda Singh says that although she was approached for a biopic on Patil by different people, nothing has materialized yet. “If there was ever someone doing it, I would love to play her. It would probably be the best thing that ever happened to me as an actor,” she told IANS.
With the end of filming on “Bob Biswas”, in which she will be seen with Abhishek Bachchan due out in the middle of next year, Singh is set to start work on two more films. “One is a theme centered on women and directed by a director for the first time. I’m pretty excited about it.
Even though there are several mainstream actors in shows and movies designed for OTT platforms, Singh thinks digital is a great place right now. “People tell new stories with new perspectives. While there have been offers, I’m waiting for the right story and the right role to step into this space.
