Chi McBride to co-star in CBS comedy pilot Tom Smallwood – Deadline

Hawaii Five-O Chi McBride, alum, stars opposite Pete Holmes in CBS Studios’ CBS multi-camera comedy pilot Tom Smallwood.

Written by Mark Gross, the draft is based on the life of professional bowler Tom Smallwood.

In it, after being laid off from the assembly line at the GM plant, a seemingly ordinary man, Tom (Holmes), makes the extraordinary decision to provide for his family by pursuing his dream of becoming a professional bowler. .

McBride will play Archie, the proud owner of Archie’s Lanes: Home of the Curly Fry bowling alley, Archie is both Tom’s (Holmes) mentor and longtime father figure. His direct and unequivocal outlook on life pushes Tom to pursue his dream.

McBride portrayed SWAT captain Lou Grover on CBS ‘ Hawaii Five-O, from season 4 until the tenth and final season. His other notable credits include Grow daisies and Waiting. He is replaced by Silver Lining Entertainment and Sean Marks.
