Check out Sofia Coppola’s black and white ballet short

Get ready to dance in your living room.

When things return to normal, great cultural centers will open up. But how will you choose who to patronize first? Well, the New York Ballet had Sofia Coppola create a black and white short film promoting the return of their 2021 Spring Gala. It’s an exciting short film that takes us back to the beauty of ballet.

The cinematography was made by Philippe Le Sourd ((The seduced on the rocks).

It was such a rich collection of performances and spectacles. Everyone was filmed inside the Lincoln Center which is special as it has been closed since March 2020.

The music of Frédéric Chopin, Igor Stravinsky, Johannes Brahms, Samuel Barber and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart highlight the elegant dance and the beautiful angles.
