Actress Kangana Ranaut slammed lyricist Javed Akhtar on Tuesday for issuing an arrest warrant against her. A Mumbai court had issued a warrant for release against Kangana the day before, despite not appearing at the hearing in Akhtar’s libel case against her.
“Another day another FIR, yesterday Javed chacha with the help of the government of Maharashtra received an arrest warrant against me and now another FIR to support the farmers bill, while those who have been spreading Lies about this bill and Farmer’s genocide also caused riots, face no consequences. Thank you, ”Kangana tweeted.
In a second Hindi tweet, she criticized the government of Maharashtra and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
She wrote: “Kitne bhi zulm karlo, mera ghar tod do yah mujhe jail bhej do, yah jhooth failakar mujhe badnaam kar do, main nahi darne wali, mujhe sudharne ki koshish karne walon main tumhe sudharkarujarnane lungi, karhari banlo kitni karujarnane lungi , main baaghi paida hui thi, baaghi hi rahungi (No matter how much you oppress, break my house or send me to jail, or spread lies about me, I am not afraid. Those of you who try correct me, I will only relax after correcting you. No matter how hard you try to portray me as a helpless woman, I was born a rebel and always will be).
On Monday, Kangana visited his Bandra office for a meeting, then tweeted to express that the visit left him heartbroken. The actress also shared photos of the destroyed office.
In September 2020, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished parts of Kangana’s office in Bandra citing illegal constructions. Demolition work was halted halfway after a suspension order from the Bombay High Court on September 9.
