K-Pop supergroup BTS’s latest song “Butter” sets a new record with 10 million views on YouTube in just 13 minutes. The track was released just a few hours ago today, Friday May 21st. The group’s new music video also drew an estimated 3.89 million concurrent viewers when it premiered at midnight (EST).
In its first five hours of release, the track recorded more than 47,034,131 views on YouTube and 4.8 million likes, according to Forbes. When it went live, this K-Pop track had over 56 million views on the music platform.
BTS ” Butter ” is a dance-pop track with the band’s distinctive baseline and crisp synth sounds. The choreography is a combination of group and unity dances, with striking gestures such as stroking hair, blowing kisses and tiptoeing.
BTS will perform “Butter” for the first time at the upcoming Billboard Music Awards on May 23. At the awards night, the K-Pop group was nominated in four categories – Best Duo / Group, Best Artist in Song Sales, Best Social Artist, and Best Selling Song.
The group is also kicking off the Good Morning America summer concert series on May 28.
