South Korean girl group Blackpink is the most successful Korean girl group on the Billboard Hot 100. The group has broken numerous online records throughout their career. The group is also the most followed girl group on Spotify. And now band member Jennie has posted a new video on her Youtube channel and her fans are going crazy.
Jennie shared a candid look at her “Solo” performance rehearsals for their last online gig The Show. The video also included a short segment with Jisoo which added to the fun of BLINKs. Scroll down to find out more.
The video begins with Jennie assiduously practicing the choreography with the choreographer without compromising on precautions for COVID-19. The entire crew, choreographers and Jennie were seen wearing a mask during rehearsals. Initially, she was shown to dance with the choreographer and then with the rest of the team.
Along with her hardworking nature, singer Blackpink’s fun and wacky side can also be seen in the video. Viewers can see her adorable aegyo performing with the dance choreographer and staff after rehearsals. She can also be seen sneaking in a while for her Eonni Jisoo as they teased and cuddled. And one of the highlights of the video was Jennie and Rosé’s Korean-English jokes, which were hilarious.
The Blackpink member had also micro-managed everything related to his solo stage performance. The video comes weeks after their first-ever online gig The Show was held. And to the delight of their fans, Jennie also performed her solo single ‘Solo’ on The Show. His single Solo was a combination of hip-hop, dance-pop and EDM that spoke of independence after a breakup.
It’s also worth pointing out that “ The Show ” also marked the debut of Rosé’s debut solo album, Gone, which is an all-English track with honeyed vocals and melancholy Rosé guitar chords. Blackpink fans, isn’t that super exciting?
