Berlinale unveils programs for Forum, Expanded Forum and Short Films – Deadline
The second day of this week’s Berlinale announcements sees the selections for its Forum, Forum Expanded and Shorts programs revealed.
The Forum’s program features 17 films, mostly by filmmakers early in their careers, but with some established directors like Israeli documentary filmmaker Avi Mograbi and Berlin-based directors Chris Wright and Stefan Kolbe. In total, 14 are world premieres.
The selection of the Expanded Forum consists of short films, medium-length films and feature films, and will screen 17 films as well as artistic installations. In the Shorts program, a total of 20 titles will compete for the Berlinale awards this year. Scroll down for full alignments.
Yesterday, the festival unveiled its Generation and Retrospective programs.

As previously noted, buyers will have the option to view these films during the Virtual EFM, which runs from March 1-5. Juries will also be appointed to decide the rewards of the festival during this period. We hope audiences have a chance to see the films in theaters at a summer event scheduled for June.
