‘Babita’ Munmun Dutta once received a love letter from a stranger, but it went straight to her father

Munmun Dutta, who stars as Babita Iyer in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has many admirers across the country. But did you know that one of his admirers once sent him love letters? Read on to find out more.

Dutta is an avid user of social media and actively shares posts on Instagram and TMKOC fans are won over by her beauty. The actress once told an anecdote from her youth when someone wrote her a long love letter.

Speaking to ETimes, Munmun Dutta revealed that during her school years, her classmate loved her but she was not aware of it. She said, “I was a good girl in school. I won’t send any love letter to anyone but, yes, there was someone who gave me this love letter with Pal Pal Dil K Paas. But unfortunately my father found it.

The actress added that the love letter, “… simple not nhi aya, simple daddy k not chala gaya.” Following this incident, she confessed that she felt uncomfortable about it but her father hadn’t done anything to her.

Munmun Dutta also revealed during the conversation that she had a crush on Shah Rukh Khan since she was a child. She was an avid fan and watched her movies. She also loved Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar during her childhood.

Meanwhile, the actress recently got into trouble after sharing a video demonstrating makeup techniques. In the video, she referred to one particular community to say that she didn’t want to look like them because she wanted to look good. For this reason, an FIR had been filed against her.

Following the fury, Munmun Dutta apologized for the same and released a statement: “This refers to a video I posted yesterday in which a word used by me was misinterpreted. It was never said with the intention of insulting, intimidating, humiliating or hurting anyone’s feelings.

“Because of my language barrier, I was really misinformed about the meaning of the word. Once I realized its significance, I immediately removed the role. I have the utmost respect for every person of every caste, creed or gender and I recognize their immense contribution to our society or nation, ”she added.

“I would like to sincerely apologize to everyone who has been unintentionally hurt by the use of the word and I sincerely regret it.”
