AP’s Sally Buzbee named Washington Post editor – Deadline

The Washington Post has named Sally Buzbee, who spent her career with the Associated Press, as its next editor, succeeding Marty Baron.

Buzbee will be the first woman to head the post, which has nearly 1,000 employees in its newsroom.

She is currently editor-in-chief of the AP and senior vice-president, and has worked for the press service since the start of her journalistic career in 1988.
