“Anyone with an Internet connection could be part of the film”

The recently digitally released “Host” horror film director Rob Savage features non-actors. The filmmaker said anyone with an internet connection is eligible to be a part of the film.

The film was shot entirely on Zoom Video’s appeal during the lockdown last year.

It all started when Savage played a prank on his friends during a live video interaction. During a zoom shoot, he told his friends that there was someone in his basement. He then went to the basement to show them a video of him being devoured by a live zombie.

Speaking of the filming of the film, Savage says his team tried to reach people who were looking for work.

“It was amazing, it was really exciting, we knew that anyone with an internet connection could be a part of our film. We put together an interesting list of people who were being laid off and were basically looking for an opportunity to do something. We found our ways to reach them through friends and that’s how we integrated them, ”he says.

The film stars Haley Bishop, Jemma Moore, Emma Louise Webb, Radina Drandova, Caroline Ward, Teddy Linard and Seylan Baxter.

The film was released by PictureWorks and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. It will also be released in India in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, in addition to the original English version.
