Veteran actor Anupam Kher took to social media on Sunday to mourn the disappearance of a 33-year-old makeup artist who made up the movie The Accidental Prime Minister.
In the film, released in January 2019, Kher played the role of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The actor mourned the sudden disappearance of makeup artist Pranay Deepak Sawant who put on makeup for the role.
Anupam Kher shared a video on Instagram where Pranay can be seen putting on makeup for the role and another video where he walks down the stairs as his character Manmohan Singh watches.
Anupam Kher wrote: “A good performance has many contributors !! Deeply saddened to learn of the sudden death of a 33 year old makeup artist #PranayDeepakSawant. He did my composition of #DrManmohanSingh in the #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister movie !! “
The actor continued, “He was a genius! Always smiling! The second video of me going down the stairs was shot by him. His family must be devastated. My condolences to them and to all the fraternity of hairdressers and makeup artists! Om Shanti !! “
On the work side, Anupam Kher has started working on his next project titled “Moh Maya”, directed by Narayan Shi.
