Amazon Prime India Original Series Tandav has been the subject of controversy since its release in January. Several cases have been recorded against the show’s creators and the platform to hurt the feelings of a particular community across the series. After the manufacturers issued an unconditional apology in January, Amazon Prime Video India has now released an unconditional official apology for unintentionally hurting feelings.

The statement read, “Amazon Prime Video once again deeply regrets that viewers viewed certain scenes as objectionable in the recently launched fictional series Tandav. This was never our intention, and scenes that were objected to were deleted or edited when brought to our attention. We respect the diverse beliefs of our viewers and unconditionally apologize to anyone who felt hurt by these scenes. Our teams follow the company’s content review processes, which we recognize must be constantly updated to better serve our audiences. We will continue to develop entertaining content with our partners, while respecting Indian laws and respecting the diversity of culture and beliefs of our audience ”

Earlier in January, the manufacturers confirmed they had removed the objectionable scenes with advice and support from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

Tandav aired on Amazon Prime Video on January 15. It stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sunil Grover, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Kumud Mishra, among others.
