The legendary cinema will open more theaters in the coming months.
You might have caught actors and potential Candidate for governor of Texas Matthew McConaughey said during this year’s Oscar broadcast that the Alamo Drafthouse locations in Brooklyn and Los Angeles will reopen in May, and over a dozen more spots will be back in operation this summer.
It’s obviously been a tough year for businesses, and with the recent closings of LA’s famous Cinerama Dome and Pacific Theaters, West Coast moviegoers can’t look forward to much until new leases are closed. The Alamo Drafthouse plans to change that by opening the box office on May 7th in Brooklyn, opening the Mueller location in Los Angeles and Austin on May 28th, and tickets going on sale on May 17th.
Over the summer, 30 theaters across the country will reopen, including Dallas, Omaha, San Francisco and Laredo. Since reopening other locations, Alamo Drafthouse has reinvented the way we go to theaters. So you can pre-order snacks and drinks or rent the entire theater yourselfthat the company says will remain an option in the future.
Below is a list of locations and reopening dates. Alamo Drafthouse says new locations will be announced later this year.
