Bollywood star Akshay Kumar donated Thursday Rs 1 crore for a school building in the remote village of Tulail along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The actor reached the village of Neeru by helicopter around noon and then began interacting with locals and deployed security forces.
“Akshay Kumar made a donation Rs 1 crore for the construction of the school building in the Neeru village of Tulail.
“Akshay Kumar visited the area to boost the morale of the deployed army and BSF soldiers with whom he has long interacted. He also danced with the inhabitants of the village who came to see and meet the actor. The function was organized by BSF soldiers stationed at a LoC post in the village of Neeru. He appreciated the army, BSF and locals for leading a robust life in the area, braving heavy snowfall and extreme inaccessibility, ”sources said.
On the job front, Akshay recently announced that his next film BellBottom will hit theaters. Other than that, he has a lot of movies in his kitty. Attrangi Re.
Akshay posted a video on Instagram on Tuesday to break the news. The film was previously slated for release in April 2021, but has been postponed due to the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.
