‘A Quite Place Part II’ Moves Once Again, Now Memorial Day Weekend – Deadline

Paramount’s ever-changing release date A Quiet Place, Part II move again. Now, the horror / thriller sequel will bow wide on May 28, 2021.

The new date is the fifth change for the opening of the film. Paramount had originally scheduled its opening in US theaters on March 20, 2020, a date made impractical by the proliferation of the national version of the coronavirus pandemic.

From there it was moved to September 4, 2020, but this was derailed by the persistence of the virus outbreak. It was then sent in April 2021, as speculation swirled that the film would bow on the ViacomCBS streaming service. Then it was sent on September 17th, before now going back to an earlier niche.

In its new release on May 28, the film will be against Disney Cruella, the comedy-crime story starring Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Mark Strong and Paul Walter Hauser.

Paramount Infinite the sci-fi thriller starring Mark Wahlberg, Dylan O’Brien, Rupert Friend and Chiwetel Ejiof, will now be available on September 24, 2021.

In the sequel directed by John Krasinski, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they fight to survive in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt by sound aren’t the only threats lurking beyond the sandy path.

The first installment of A quiet place was a major success for Paramount in 2018, grossing $ 188 million in the US and over $ 340 million globally.
