Paramount again moves the release date to A Quiet Place, Part II. Now, the horror / thriller sequel will go down largely on September 17, 2021.
The new date is the fourth for the opening of the film. Paramount was originally scheduled to open in U.S. theaters on March 20, 2020, a date made impractical by the proliferation of the nation’s version of the coronavirus pandemic.
From there it was moved to September 4, 2020, but this was derailed by the persistence of the virus outbreak. It was then sent in April 2021, as speculation revolved around the movie would bow on the ViacomCBS streaming service. Now he’s on the theatrical slate again.
In its new slot, the film will take on the studios of the 20th century Death on the Nile, Universal’s The Boss Baby: Family businessand Sony Pictures’ The man from Toronto.
In the sequel to John Krasinski, the Abbott family must now face the terrors of the outside world as they fight to survive in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize that the creatures that hunt by sound aren’t the only threats lurking beyond the sandy path.
The first installment of A quiet place was a major success for Paramount in 2018, grossing $ 188 million in the US and over $ 340 million worldwide.
