Matt writes: The Roger and Chaz Ebert The Foundation joins forces with the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation to present Illinois’ first No Malice film competition for youth and young adults. Young filmmakers ages 11-21 are invited to create short films that explore and promote racial healing. Cash prizes will be presented at a first red carpet to be held at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill. On July 31 of this year. Virtual presentations will take place over the next two months with guests as esteemed as the acclaimed playwrightPamela Sherrod Anderson, Emmy-winning filmmaker Rita Coburn, Oscar-nominated documentary maker Steve james, Creative Cypher founder Troy Osborne Pryor and journalist / filmmaker T. Roger ebert favorably evaluated “groundhog day, “with Bill Murray, upon its initial release, before making the film part of its Great Movies series 12 years later.
